Take a Ride on the Rural Side

There’s something uniquely rewarding about our Village Bicycle Tour, where you’ll peddle a leisurely course through the countryside and take in the sights, sounds and charms of rural Sri Lanka.

There’s so much to see: cinnamon cultivation, lagoon fishing, coir rope making, the colourful local fishing harbour, temples and bird spotting. And of course the welcoming smiles of our village folk who are always happy to see you.

Your guide will make this experience both enjoyable and informative, and the comfortable pace will let you take it all in. Highlights include a memorable picnic lunch under a tree in the middle of nowhere, as well as a refreshing boat ride back to Aditya.

Set Sail for a Whale of a Tale

If you’re feeling ready for a bit of adventure on the high seas, then join us for some thrilling whale and dolphin watching.

We’ll drive you down to Mirissa, a wonderfully picturesque beach town just 50 minutes from Aditya. From there, an exhilarating boat ride takes you out to the deep waters where dolphins frolic and whales dip and dive in breathtaking majesty.

A close encounter with these magnificent creatures is an unforgettable experience and a story you’ll never stop telling.

Whales can only be spotted seasonally, usually from December to March, so check with us if you should work it into your itinerary.

The Sri Lankan cookery demonstration begins with a morning tour to the local market with one of the senior staff from the ‘Aditya Kitchen’. Only the freshest fish and vegetables are selected and cooking back at the hotel focuses mainly on the preparation of a typical meal with popular Sri Lankan dishes.

Our chef has created a comprehensive programme to introduce to the participants the art of exotic Sri Lankan cookery. Demonstrated to the participants is the art of preparing a typical Sri Lankan Lunch menu consisting of Fish, Prawn, Lentil, 02 vegetable curries, Sambol & Rice.

Programme – (9.30AM to 1.30 PM)
Guided tour to fish market to select good quality fish. Familiarization session of ingredients, spices, condiments & other materials used in cooking. Preparation of Fish curry and Prawn curry. Preparation of Rice, Lentil Curry, 02 Vegetable Curries and Sambol. Serve to the table to enjoy a Typical Sri Lankan Lunch.
