Sinharaja Forest Reserve

Spread over 10,000 hectares, the Kanneliya Forest complex occupies the interfluves between the Gin and Nilwala rivers, and is home to 36 species of snakes, 17 of them endemic forms. Of the 23 species of lizards living here, 13 are endemic to Sri Lanka. A series of valleys and ridges adds to the beauty of the diverse landscape.

Yala National Park

This park is the greater flamingo’s last refuge in this part of the island.
